Eliot's Hot Served Drinks
This range includes:
All are sold in 3 litre BiB tubes which provides 17 off - 175ml servings
The drink tubes fit onto the Eliot's dispenser which is a device which clamps directly onto the bar of the outlet and plugs into the mains. (Mains socket required within 1 metre). There is no plumbing requirement.
The dispenser enables the measuring of a 175ml measure, heats it to around 62 degrees C in 18 seconds and then enables it to be dispensed into a suitable glass. Glassware does not need to be any special heat resistant glass but we do recommend not serving into glassware that has been stored in the freezer.
Like all "cocktail" style drinks, dressing the drink well enhances the flavours and the consumer value perception.
All of the Eliot's drinks also can be sold as "combo's" when paired with seasonal snack foods - increasing the sales yield per serving.
Eliot's drinks are always incremental - very few customers select an Eliot's as their main drink, but will enjoy an Eliot's drink when cold, during the festive season or as an alternate to tea/coffee.
All Eliot's drinks have a 2 year shelf life (unopened) (the batch code on the base of the tube XYYY identifies the date of production. X = last digit of year of manufacture and YYY the day of the year, so 2365 would identify made in 2012 on the 365tth day i.e 30th December
Shelf life when opened is approx. 8 weeks
Suggested selling prices per 175ml glass:
Eliot's dispensers can be purchased via any of our stockists or direct from Haywood under the following purchase schemes:
Dispensers are simple to use but some simple training is beneficial to avoid common usage errors - simply watch the training video on www.eliots.com
Because Eliot's wine based drinks are a cocktail, not a wine per se, they do not fall within the regulatory dispense measures affecting wine, which must be available in 125ml, 175ml and 250ml (i.e the option for a small glass being available), so our drinks are only in dispense measures of 175ml quite legitimately.
Major benefits of Eliot's:
Our dispenser is unique and allows one drink at a time to be heated and served. This ensures the drink is freshly made and at the perfect temperature. As our heating method is simply to heat on demand, it means that the drink is not stewed for hours (subsequently thrown away if not sold that night) and the alcohol is not boiled off which makes the drink taste bitter.
We generally hold some stocks of 10l and 20l BiB cases of Mulled Wine and Spicy Cider for the events trade, but with notice can hold any of our drinks in any format, providing there is adequate volume to justify a packing run (usually around 1000 - 2000 litres)
We print our telephone number 01889 270663 on all drink tubes and have a Freephone number on the dispensers. These numbers are answered 24 x 7 x 365 - by our staff during normal office hours and by an answering service outside of these hours. The answering service emails a short form message to the duty team so that any urgent messages can be dealt with as soon as possible (generally within an hour of placing the call)
Some 90% of "breakdown" calls are actually caused by error in use - such as overfilling, pressing the start button with no wine in the heating chamber, failure to remove the anti-tamper seal from the drink tube, fitting the tap on the BiB to project too far out and some others. Our technical support team will always deal with these over the telephone and resolve the issue. There are user training video's on www.eliots.com
If unable to resolve, all dispensers are swapped using next day delivery service.
